SWOSU, is looking for a mentor for his team of students interested in learning more about research cyberinfrastructure. They would like to develop CI skills involving deploying hardware to connect to the Open Science Grid (OSG). Their goal is to become a CI access point for faculty at SWOSU. They are developing a plan to deploy a cluster with the help of a GPN Cyberteam mentor (OU) and the XSEDE XCRI program. They are making the arrangements for the cluster hardware and will be moving forward with a plan that includes the deployment of OpenHPC and OpenOnDemand to host a Jupyter-Hub. They would also like to learn more about Slate or other tools that will allow them to run jobs on OSG directly.
A longer-term goal is to show that SOSU has knowledge of how to use the hardware and instruct faculty and students on the use of computation services. They also plan to apply for an NSF CC* Campus Compute area program grant based on their work.
