Join us for the inaugural CCMNet Annual Meeting at PEARC24!

As part of our efforts to launch the CCMNet Program, we are pleased to offer travel rewards to encourage participation in our inaugural Annual Meeting, which will take place at PEARC24. We will provide six travel rewards on a first-come-first-served basis to anyone that commits to participate in the CCMNet program from now through the end of PEARC25. We will provide an additional six travel rewards with priority given to individuals from non-R1 and/or minority serving institutions.

There are three quick steps to apply for the travel reward:

  1. If you have not already done so, please join the CCMNet by clicking on Join in the top right corner of this site (CCMnet.org).
  2. Upon joining, please specify your interests and skills by clicking on these two buttons under your profile pulldown in the top right corner of the site. 
  3. Click on the Apply button above. Please read the fine print below to understand the details of what can and cannot be submitted for reimbursement under the reward, and other important details.

FINE PRINT 

What does it mean to participate in CCMNet?

To qualify for this travel reward, you commit to participate in the CCMNet Program by doing the following between now and the end of July, 2025.

  1. Attend the CCMNet Annual Meeting at PEARC24.
  2. Participate as a mentor or a mentee in a peer-mentoring engagement for at least six months.
  3. Attend at least 6 monthly CCMNet all-hands meetings. 
  4. Contribute at least one entry into the ConnectCI Knowledge Base, which is being leveraged for the CCMNet Program. This entry can be an article, video, tutorial or information in question-answer format on any topic relevant to the Cyberinfrastructure ecosystem. It can be domain-specific or procedural. It does not need to be about mentoring, although mentoring entries are also welcome.

What's covered?

Flight, hotel costs at the block rate, airfare, land travel (Uber, Lift, Taxi, Rail), PEARC24 registration.  

Important Details 

  1. Please register for PEARC24 before June 15, 2024 to keep registration costs down.
  2. The "Additional items" on the PEARC24 registration site are not covered by this travel reward.  
  3. Meals: Reimbursement amounts are subject to State of South Dakota rates and requirements.  
  4. If you drive your own car, your reimbursement rate will be subject to State of South Dakota reimbursement rates and requirements.
  5. If you are flying, please restrict your flight to the economy/main cabin areas and book at least three weeks in advance (by July 1, 2024). 
  6. You will be reimbursed after the conference. 
  7. We can only cover travel reimbursement if you are a resident within the 50 United States for this reward. 
  8. The travel reward recipient must have the legal right to work in the United States and be currently working in the United States to receive travel and registration reimbursement.
  9. Approval from your supervisor is required to participate.
  10. Personal travel will not be reimbursed. 

  11. Proof of PEARC24 conference registration must be provided, even if it is complimentary.
